Experience bold flavours with this spicy Sri Lankan chicken curry. Made with local spices, it’s a dish that brings warmth and tradition to your plate
Ingredients:
- 500g chicken (with bone)
- 2 tbsp Sri Lankan curry powder
- 1 onion (sliced)
- 2 garlic cloves, 1 tsp ginger, anise, cloves, cumin
- 1 sprig of curry leaves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 cup thick coconut milk
- Salt, chilli, turmeric and papper
Instructions:
- First, chop the ginger, garlic, cinnamon, anise, cloves, cumin, and curry leaves.
- Add chopped garlic, ginger, curry leaves and cinnamon to a bowl and add the chicken.
- Then add chicken, spices, salt to taste, chilli powder, and turmeric powder and stir.
- Then add the ramps.
- Then put a pot on the stove, add the chicken mixed with the spices, and add a little water.
- After a while, add the onion and coconut milk, cover and cook for about 15 minutes.
- Then taste a little and serve with rice and other curries.
